Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans are part of Medicare. They are Medicare Part C. Most plans include Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage within them. Medicare Advantage plans often include dental, vision, and hearing coverage which is not included in original Medicare. These are an affordable alternative to original Medicare A+B and a Medicare Supplement insurance policy.

Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement Insurance is not part of Medicare. Medicare pays first, and the Supplement is secondary. Medicare Part D prescription drug plans must be purchased seperate. Routine dental, vision, and hearing coverage can also be purchased in addition to the Supplement.

Medicare Part D

Medicare Part D covers prescription drugs purchased at a pharmacy. Prescription drug plans can be part of a Medicare Advantage Plan, or can be purchased as a stand alone plan. It is important to shop plans based on your prescription needs. Not all plans cover the same drugs and drug costs may vary between plans.

A SOA or scope of appointment form is a legal document devised and required by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to help keep agents and beneficiaries protected from false claims. All agents must have a signed SOA 48 hours prior to discussing plan benefits with you unless the agent is already your agent of record and it is within the last 12 month of you signing one.  This can be completed via paper signature, recorded calls, or text message if the agent has the technology available to do text SOA.
